9 Hilarious Shows to Watch Stoned

It’s a weeknight and you’ve already finished cooking/cleaning/exercising (or whatever it is that productive people do with their time). Now you’re looking for the perfect way to spend your evening, in floats your trusty bong (or pre-roll or vape or… well you get the idea). You’re ready to take to the next level. We say turn on your TV, open up your laptop, or rest your phone precariously against a water bottle and check out one of these 9 hilarious comedies that’s perfect for any buzz. So, roll up your favorite bud, sink into your couch, and get ready to laugh your way through these hilarious shows.

1. Broad City (2014-2019)
Broad City is a stoner comedy masterpiece created by and starring Ilana Glazer and Abbi Jacobson. This show follows the hysterical adventures of two best friends living in New York City. Cannabis plays a significant role in their lives, and their misadventures while high are a perfect match for your own elevated state of mind.

2. The Eric Andre Show (2012-present)
The Eric Andre Show is a surreal late-night talk show hosted by Eric Andre. It's known for its outrageous humor, bizarre sketches, and chaotic interviews with unsuspecting guests. The absurdity of the show pairs perfectly with a stoned viewing, offering a trip into the unexpected.

3. The Righteous Gemstones (2019-present)
If you can’t get enough of Eric Andre might we recommend season 2 of The Righteous Gemstones? We do recommend watching the show in order though, so definitely start with season 1. This comedy series follows the hilarious and dysfunctional Gemstone family, who are wealthy megachurch pastors. With its dark humor, eccentric characters, and absurd situations, The Righteous Gemstones is a comedy gem to enjoy the next time you light up.

4. Grand Crew (2021-2023)
Grand Crew revolves around a group of friends, played by Echo Kellum, Nicole Byer, Justin Cunningham, Aaron Jennings, Carl Tart and Grasie Mercedes, sharing their misadventures, hilarious anecdotes, and friendship bonds over drinks – a glass of wine to be exact! With witty banter and relatable humor, it's an ideal choice for those looking for a sitcom filled with hijinks. Clang Clang!

5. I'm Sorry (2017-2019)
I'm Sorry is a witty comedy series created by and starring Andrea Savage as a comedy writer juggling the challenges of motherhood and her career. The show's blend of cringe humor and clever writing is a great choice for a laughter-filled sesh. Think “Curb Your Enthusiasm” with a female lead.

6. New Girl (2011-2018)
New Girl is a beloved sitcom starring Zooey Deschanel that follows the lives of quirky roommates living in a loft in Los Angeles. With its endearing characters and sharp humor, this show is an excellent choice for a light-hearted and giggly high.

7. Detroiters (2017-2018)
Detroiters is a buddy comedy series starring Tim Robinson and Sam Richardson as two small-time ad men in Detroit. Their comedic chemistry and offbeat humor make this show a hidden gem that's perfect for a stoned viewing. Truly a treasure of a show - this blog writer HIGHLY recommends!

8. Los Espookys (2019-2022)
This bilingual comedy, created by Julio Torres, Ana Fabrega, and Fred Armisen, follows a group of friends (Torres, Fabrega, Bernardo Velasco and Cassandra Ciangherotti) who turn their love for horror into a quirky business venture. Los Espookys’ offbeat, surreally absurd humor and supernatural escapades are a perfect fit for a queer stoner laugh fest.

9. It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia (2007-present)
It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia is a long-running sitcom known for its dark and irreverent humor. The misadventures of the "gang" as they run their bar in Philadelphia are both hilarious and at times cringe-inducing, making it a perfect choice for a buzzed binge-watch. When you’re stoned, there’s nothing better than seeing Danny Devito on an acid trip.

Weed and comedy have always gone hand in hand, and these nine TV shows are (in our opinion) a testament to that perfect pairing. Whether you're in the mood for surreal antics, dry humor, or heartwarming comedy, there's something on this list for every stoner's taste. So, grab your favorite strain, hit play, and let the laughter roll in as you embark on a hilarious journey through the world of television. Happy toking!
